Abstract
Phytochemical analysis of the rhizomes of Curcuma aromatica Salisb.(Zingibe raceae) lead to the isolation of a sesquiterpenoid named zederone for the f irst time from this plant, which shows moderate antifeedant activity agains t 4th instar larva of Spilarctia obliqua.
