Abstract
A new re-circulating turbo molecular pump based pumping system has been des igned and installed in the high voltage terminal of 15 UD pelletron. The sy stem has been installed and is being used for regular accelerator operation . The system has helped improvements in the vacuum inside accelerator durin g gas stripper runs and excellent improvements in beam transmission. The pr esent report explains the details of system installation, performance of ac celerator and test results of this system with different beams.
