Abstract
We report that crack-free K3Li2-chiNb5+2 chiO15+2 chi crystals (KLN) have b een grown by the resistance-heated Czochralski technique. The influence of melt composition and growth parameters on crystal growth and crystal cracks are described. Blue light (445-476nm) has been obtained by frequency doubl ing of the light wave (890-952nm) generated from a Ti:sapphire laser. (C) 2 001 Published by Elsevier Science B.V.
