Abstract
Functionalization of MCM-41 via the reaction of its surface silanols with p roper agents yielded aminated and phosphinated materials, which were charac terized and used to immobilize rhodium complex. These rhodium complex mater ials exhibited excellent performance in the hydrogenation of arenes under m ild reaction conditions of 45 degreesC and 1 atm. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V.
