Strangeness content in the nucleon

I will review recent studies of strangeness content in the nucleon pertaini ng to the flavour-singlet g(A)(0), the (s) over bars matrix element and the strangeness electric and magnetic form factors G(E)(s)(q(2)) and G(M)(s)(q (2)) based on lattice QCD calculations. I shall also discuss the relevance of incorporating the strangeness content in nuclei with regard to strange b aryon-antibaryon production from proton-nucleus and nucleus-nucleus collisi ons at SPS and RHIC energies.
