Quantitative analysis of glycolysis regulation in Lactococcus lactis: fromgene to enzyme

Transcripts of the sequenced genes encoding enzymes of central metabolism o f Lactococcus lactis have been quantified using slot blot technology. Metho ds of quantification and data analysis were optimised to obtain a quantitat ive approach with high sensitivity. Transcript and enzymatic activity profi les were compared with regard to the carbon source (glucose or galactose), on two different synthetic culture media.
