Erbenites n. g. from the Lower Lias (Upper Sinemurian) of Tenango de Doria (Sierra Madre Oriental, Mexico) is a compressed Asteroceratinae and is repr esented by two species: E, bravoi (TILMAN) and E. corinnae n. sp.
