Abstract
Activation of mGluRs has previously been reported to cause beta/gamma frequ ency oscillations in CA1 hippocampal slices. The present study reveals that pharmacological activation of mGluRs in vivo induces dentate EEG oscillati ons at the low end of the gamma frequency range, with peak activity just be low 30 Hz.
