The half-life of Ti-44 has been determined with a method measuring the acti
vity of Ti-44 produced and implanted in a plastic plate through the project
ile fragmentation. The half-life was determined from the specific activity
of implanted Ti-44 nuclei determined through absolute measurements of the a
mount by counting fragments, and of their activity by taking ratios of sum-
and single-peaks in high-resolution gamma -ray spectra with a Ce detector.
