Abstract
We report near-noiseless (noise figure of 0.4 dB, which is an improvement o ver the theoretical limit of 1.2 dB for a conventional laser amplifier with the same gain of 1.7dB) optical amplification of laser light in a phase-se nsitive fibre amplifier.
