Abstract
The purpose of this study is to define differences in radiation sensitivity among rat strains using breathing frequency and lung perfusion as end poin ts of radiation-induced lung injury. The results have confirmed previous fi ndings in mice showing that-under stringently controlled iso-dose/volume ir radiation conditions, substantial differences can be found in susceptibilit y to functional lungs damage after radiation.
