Abstract
We wish to report the occurrence of quinoketene species in a pyrolytical pr ocess of deoxigenation by means of triphenylphosphine. We also proposed sev eral possible mechanisms for this reaction in which, due to the presence of xylene, aldehyde and alcohol are also formed.
