Abstract
Sulfur dioxide adsorptive properties on different zeolites were investigate d and it was found that Y and FER zeolites have relatively high adsorption capacity. The sulfur dioxide adsorption capacity of Y zeolites was determin ed at temperatures in the range of 25 to 200 degreesC and sulfur dioxide co ncentrations in the of feeding gas from 0.9 to 6% (% vol.). The effect of t he number of adsorption-thermal regeneration cycles oil the adsorption capa city of the Y zeolites was determined too. YHNa zeolite was found to remove sulfur dioxide from synthetic gases to give SO2-free effluents.
