Abstract
The first synthesis of the methylene-bridged binary carbazole alkaloids bis murrayafoline-A and chrestifoline-A is described. As an interesting side pr oduct, a likewise benzylically connected trimer was identified, a potential natural product. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
