Abstract
Hydrosilylation of esters takes place in the presence of ruthenium catalyst s to afford the corresponding alkyl silyl acetals in moderate to good yield s, which can be converted into aldehydes by hydrolysis. (C) 2001 Elsevier S cience Ltd. All rights reserved.
