Abstract
Enantioselective reduction of a series of substituted aryl trichloromethyl ketones with the CBS-catecholborane reagent afforded homochiral aryl trichl oromethyl carbinols which have been elaborated to give homochiral alpha -ar ylglycines in high e.e.
