Abstract
The authors' initial experience of laparoscopic radical prostatectomy on 24 0 patients is presented. The technical details are described, and the opera tive complications are analyzed. Short-term oncologic results are reported. Functional results on continence and potency are objectively analyzed. Bas ed on this experience, laparoscopic radical prostatectomy is feasible, repr oducible, and is proposed as the first line of treatment for localized pros tate cancer at Montsouris Institute.
