Abstract
In this work we propose a quantum coupling device which gives the poss ibility of obtaining field dynamics similar to the dynamics of an atom in a photonic bandgap structure. We investigate both the linear and t he nonlinear versions of the device, developing a simple model which a llows us to understand the specific features of the field dynamics.
