Coefficients of broadening of the 1675.17 cm(-1) line (the 4(04) <-- 3
(13) transition) of the nu(2) vibration-rotation band of (H2O)-O-16 by
a number of foreign gases including Ar, O-2, GeH4, H2Se, and NH3 are
measured al room temperature by the technique of absorption spectrosco
py with the help of tunable diode lasers. II is found that the broaden
ing coefficient substantially increases in passing to H2Se and NH3 mol
ecules, which can form complexes with water.
