Small-angle scattering of a nonpolarized Light beam in a substance fou
nd near a transition point is studied. The indicatrix of single scatte
ring is assumed to have the power form chi(gamma) similar to gamma(-al
pha). The intensity and degree of polarization of scattered radiation
are calculated. Changes in the angular spectrum in the neighborhood of
the value alpha = 2 of the indicatrix exponent are analyzed. The case
s of purely elastic scattering and scattering in an absorbing medium a
re studied.
