The hatching performance of three types of aeration system was compared. Fo
r commercial applications, the cradle aeration system was superior to the s
ingle air stone system (90.7 vs 96.5% hatchability). The use of this system
resulted in marginal Instar 1 production, lower E-1-arrest, high cyst wate
r hydration activity, minimal nauplii injury, and convenience in harvest. (
