Abstract
During the past year and a half, significant progress has been made in unde rstanding the structure and dynamics of nucleosomes and the chromatin fiber , the mechanism of action of the core histone amino termini, the structure and function of histone variants, and the function of tinker histones in th e chromatin fiber.
