Pk. Sharma et al., DIVALENT COBALT, COPPER AND ZINC-COMPLEXES OF N-SALICYLIDENEAMINO ACIDS, Journal of the Indian Chemical Society, 74(6), 1997, pp. 446-447
Complexes of Co-II, Cu-II and Zn-II with N-salicylidenamino acids have
been prepared. Amino acids used were glycine, L-alanine and L-phenyla
lanine. The Schiff bases function as terdentate with O, O and N donors
from carboxylic, phenolic and imine groups respectively. An octahedra
l geometry around Co-II and Zn-II and a square-planar geometry around
Cu-II have been proposed.
