Abstract
We report a case of a left alien hand syndrome without grasp reflex, i nter-manual conflict or sensory impairment after an infarction involvi ng the striatum, premotor lateral cortex and collosal fibers but spari ng medial premotor cortex. According to the location of the lesion, th e mechanism underlying this clinical feature might mainly involve cort ico-pulamino-thalamo-cortical loop which links extrapyramidal system t o medial premotor cortex.
