Abstract
The essential oils of the aerial parts of Argyranthemum adauctum ssp, adauc tum, A. adauctum ssp. gracile and A. adauctum ssp. erythrocarpon were analy sed by GC-MS. The major constituents were: for A. adauctum ssp. adauctum, c aryophyllene oxide (12.4%), epi-alpha -bisabolol (6.2%); for A. adauctum sa p. gracile, santolina triene (19.8%), chamazulene (7.8%); and for A. adauct um ssp. erythrocarpon, geranyl isovalerate (44.6%) and geranyl caproate (8. 5%).
