Td. Griffiths et al., The Newcastle Auditory Battery (NAB) - A temporal and spatial test batteryfor use on adult naive subjects, HEARING RES, 154(1-2), 2001, pp. 165-169
A battery of tests for assessing the perception of temporal and spatial aco
ustic cues is described, together with a software platform for implementing
the battery. The software runs on a personal computer tither with a sound
card or with widely used laboratory hardware. The battery is intended for u
se with neurologically impaired and other naive subjects, to allow inferenc
e at the single-subject level for any given subtest. The aim is to allow a
systematic psychoacoustic evaluation of complex sound processing in single
patients. Normal values are given for the threshold data for 30 of the batt
ery are allowed by modular software architecture. naive control subjects ag
ed from 20 to 60 years. Future modifications (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V.
