Abstract
Starting from 23-O-beta -D-glucopyranosyl silybin (2) and 23-O-beta -D-gala ctopyranosyl silybin (3), alpha -oligoglucosides of silybin were synthesize d employing cyclodextrin glucanotransferase from Bacillus stearothermophill us (E.C. 2.4.1.19). Oligoglycosides of silybin were tested for the LDL anti oxidant activity in vitro.
