Abstract
This paper describes simple and successful methods for the preparation of a lpha -iodo-alpha,beta -unsaturated esters. The trifluoromethylation of (Z)a lpha -iodo-alpha,beta -unsaturated esters stereo-selectively provides (Z)-a lpha -trifluoromethyl-alpha,beta -unsaturated esters. (C) 2001 Elsevier Sci ence B.V.
