Abstract
Hematocolpos should be considered in adolescent girls who present with lowe r abdominal pain, a pelvic mass, and primary amenorrhea. The authors descri be a rare case of a young child with Down's syndrome, precocious puberty, a nd hematocolpos caused by a transverse vaginal septum.
