Abstract
The authors describe a technique for insertion of a hemodialysis catheter w hen the usual large neck veins are difficult to access. The essence of the procedure is the use of the Amplatz Goose Neck snare as a fluoroscopic targ et. The snare is used in its conventional mode to grasp the introduction wi re. The dialysis line then can be placed in its usual fashion.
