Abstract
NEC is developing a multi-mission spacecraft for the next generation. This spacecraft is applicable to various LEO (Low earth Orbit) missions (i.e. ea rth observation, scientific observation and communication) and GEO (Geostat ionary Orbit) missions. The design concepts are " Wide adaptability for mis sions and orbits," " Compact size for maximizing the mission ratio " and " Easy modification for short-time delivery and low-cost." Now, the core avio nics for this spacecraft (compact electronics, high-performance flight comp uter and integrated flight software) is being developed by NEC. This paper introduces the system configuration, performances and newly applied technol ogies that are required from study of multi-mission adaptability.
