Influence of small doses of gamma -irradiation on the features of the photo
luminescence spectra of porous silica glass during long-time (several month
s) storage after the irradiation is investigated. The non-monotonic depende
nce of photoluminescence change on the dose of the glasses with a different
composition and different additional pre-treatment is observed. The analys
is of intensity changes and shifts of the maxims of photoluminescence spect
ra shows long-time oscillations. This indicates that composite catalytic pr
ocesses take place on the surface of pores. Perhaps the small gamma -radiat
ion doses initiate the cyclic process of the surface state transformation o
n the inner side of pores.
