Abstract
An analysis of the crystal field distribution and distribution of the elect ron lattice coupling of disordered materials doped with Cr3+ ions is presen ted. The theoretical background contains the extended crystal field model b ased calculations of the emission line-shape and kinetics. The multi-site e ffect in the gallogermanate and lithium tantalate crystals and aluminosilic ate glasses is analysed in detail.
