Abstract
Applying the recently developed formalism. we obtain the exponent of the po wer-law function of the waiting time distribution for the jump motion in a super cooled hard sphere system. We discuss the mobility edges in the vitri fication process and show, on the basis of the trapping diffusion model, th at the glass transition occurs before the mobility edges close up, (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V.
