Abstract
We have studied the influence of Pr substitution on thermoelectric power an d thermal conductivity of (Y1-xPrx)Ba2Cu4O8 (x = 0, 0.7, 0.8, 0.9 and 1.0) compounds with CuO double chains. Low-temperature thermal transport of the Pr substituted YBa2Cu4O8 compounds has been discussed on the basis of metal lic property along CuO double chains. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V.
