Abstract
During September 1999, seven species of fleas were collected from small mam mals in the San Martin Reserve, Valdivia Province, Chile. The rare species Barreropsylla excelsa, Jordon, reported only once in Chile from Aisen Provi nce, is reported from Valdivia Province, Chile. A summary of the known dist ribution of each of the seven species is provided.
