Pregnant women with epilepsy risk complications. Perinatal mortality and co ngenital malformations are more frequent than in the general population. Of fspring of parents with epilepsy have a higher risk for seizure later in li fe. identification of factors associated with complications may lead to imp roved pregnancy outcome. Recommendations about neurological, obstetric and- pediatric care of pregnant women with epilepsy are proposed.
