Abstract
We report the clinical and MRI findings of a 31-year-old healthy immune-com petent patient who presented following 48 hours of diffuse headache with pr ogressive and severe rhombencephalomyelitis signs. Cerebral and medullar MR I confirmed the central nervous system improvement. Serology showed relatio n with cytomegalovirus infection. Spontaneous improvement was observed and favoured by ganciclovir administration.
