Abstract
Warrick's [1975] solution was for general time dependence although the anal ytical form was for a constant flux or step functions. A new method has bee n extended to derive analytical solutions of a linearized Richards' equatio n for arbitrary input fluxes before surface saturation. The new solution al so determines the time to surface saturation.
