Abstract
The reactions of Me3SiN=VCl3 (1) with MeOH, PhOH, HCl, PBH+Cl- or (LiOBu)-B u-t have been studied. The reductive decomposition of 1 by hydrogen chlorid e in toluene yields HN=VCl3 as a labile intermediate which could be isolate d only in a small amount. The syntheses of RN=VCl3 (R = neopent, Pr-n, cycl ohex, CPh3, 1-Ad) and [((BuN)-Bu-t)(2)V2Cl4(mu -OC13H9)(2)] (15) are also d escribed. All compounds obtained are characterized by V-51 NMR spectroscopy , the fluorenolato complex 15 by X-ray diffraction analysis.
