INVESTIGATION OF TUMOR CYTOLOGY AND GROWT H FRACTION IN CHRONIC LYMPHOPROLIFERATIVE DISEASES

The authors studied cytological picture and tumor growth fraction in r eaction with monoclonal antibody Ki-67 in chronic lymphoproliferative diseases and their malignant transformation. Blood and bone marrow fil ms, imprints and puncture samples of the lymph nodes and spleens were examined in 85 cases of chronic lymphoproliferative diseases: chronic lymphoid leukemia (n = 41), lymphocytoma of the spleen (n = 11), folli cular lymphoma (n = 15), mantle cell lymphoma (n = 18). The comparison was made with 33 cases or lymphosarcoma, 3 cases of reactive hyperpla sia of lymph nodes and 2 of the spleen. The analysis of the obtained c ytological picture and proliferative activity of the tumor allowed fol low-up of the tumor progression and assessment of the disease course s everity. This is important for choice of adequate treatment policy for patients with chronic lymphoproliferative diseases.
