In this work the development of texture and microstructure in the range of
very large deformations exerted by the CEC process were studied. The elasto
plastic models were used to predict the behaviour of aluminium subjected to
the reversible tensile and compressive deformations. The theoretical pole
figures well fit to the experimental ones. During the CEC process the textu
re changes periodically leading to relatively low sample anisotropy for lar
ge degree of deformation. The evolution of microstructure was not reversibl
e, however, some parameters (for example hardening) reached the saturation
after a few cycles.
