Abstract
Basal cell carcinoma of the anus is extremely rare, accounting for only 0.1 % of anorectal malignancies. We report the reconstruction of the anus with a biaxial pedicled scrotal island myofasciocutaneous flap following excisio n of an anal basal cell carcinoma, and conclude that this technique may be valuable in the reconstruction of the anal region.
