Abstract
The solubility properties of the La(NO3)(3)-Phe-H2O (Phe = D,L-beta -phenyl -alpha -alanine) system at 298.15 K in the whole concentration range have b een investigated by the semimicrophase equilibrium method. The correspondin g solubility diagram and refractive index diagram were constructed. The res ults indicated that there were tao stoichiometric complexes formed in this system, namely: La(Phe)(NO3)(3) . 5H(2)O and La(Phe)(2)(NO3)a . 3H(2)O. Bot h the complexes are incongruently soluble in water. Based on phase equilibr ium data, two kinds of complexes were prepared. Their composition and prope rties were investigated by chemical amalysis, elemental analysis, IR spectr a, and DTG-TG.
