The density of the melts of the system KCl-KBF4-K2TiF6 has been measured us
ing the Archimedean method. The molar volume, the partial molar volume, and
the excess molar volume of the melts at 1000, 1100, and 1200 K were calcul
ated on the basis of the obtained density data and the possible chemical in
teractions of components have been considered. The dependence of the molar
volume on composition was described using the regression equation
V' = x(1)V(1) + x(2)V(2) + x(3)V(3) + x(1)x(3)A(013) + x(2)x(3) (A(023) + A
(123)x(3)) + x(1)x(2)x(3)(2)B
The significant mutual interaction of all three components was found in the
investigated system.
