Abstract
The acute effect of failed attempts of cardioversion opt left atrial (LA) a nd left atrial appendage (LAA) functions are generally considered benign an d no adverse effects have been reported. We report on a subject who had rap id formation of a fresh, mobile thrombus in the LAA despite unsuccessful ca rdioversion and therapeutic anticoagulation.
