Abstract
Schiff's bases prepared by the condensation of 3-substituted-4-amino-5-merc
apto-1,2,4-triazoles with 5-nitrothiophene aldehyde were treated with N-met
hylpipearzine and formaldehyde to give corresponding Mannich bases. The new
ly synthesized Mannich bases were characterized by their analytical and spe
ctral data. The new compounds were also screened for their antibacterial an
d antifungal activity.
