M. Blomback et al., PROPERTIES AND UNITS IN THE CLINICAL LABORATORY SCIENCES .5. PROPERTIES AND UNITS IN THROMBOSIS AND HEMOSTASIS, Pure and applied chemistry, 69(5), 1997, pp. 1043-1079
For historical reasons, the elements of properties (terms) used in the
nomenclature for properties in thrombosis and haemostasis differ acco
rding to ''school'' of thought. This hampers communication. In collabo
ration. The Scientific and Standardization Committee of the internatio
nal Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis and the Commission (Committe
e) of Nomenclature, Properties and Units, previously ''Quantities and
Units'' have prepared a set of. recommended systematic names for prope
rties in that domain. For use in electronic transmission each property
has been given a code value. The prefix to the code values has been c
hanged from ''QU'' to ''NPU'' because of the change of name of the Com
mission (Committee).
