Abstract
This paper presents a new procedure for the solution of power Row problem, by using the current injection equations written in rectangular coordinates . From this formulation, it is possible to obtain the same convergence char acteristics of the conventional power how expressed in terms of power misma tches and written in polar coordinates. By using this methodology, a highly sparse augmented formulation suited to the incorporation of FACTS devices and control of any kind is also obtained.
