Abstract
The association between self-presentational motives and health behaviors we re studied in a sample of 183 Irish adolescents. Among girls, dieters and n onexercisers scored higher on measures of trait self-presentational concern than nondieters and exercisers. Self-presentational concerns were positive ly correlated with boys' and girls' endorsement of self-presentational moti ves for certain health practices. (C) Society for Adolescent Medicine, 2001 .
